Air pollutant emissions from transport are important pressure indicators that representthe impact of transport activities on air pollution.

A major sector included in the National Air Pollutants Emission Inventory is transportation. Transport emissions are calculated separately for road, maritime, airline and rail transport, with the most relevant data for road transport as an indicator. The total values of road transport-related emissions calculated at the national level are included in the graph. Looking at the emission status from 1994 to 2019 shows that the reduction of vehicle emissions is progressing with renewed engine technologies.^[80]
